ETHICALLY SOURCED DIAMONDS

Diamonds, known for their exceptional hardness, are a natural treasure found on our planet. At our company, we ensure that all melee (smaller)diamonds we offer fall within the GHI color range and SI-I 1-2 clarity grades. The larger diamonds are GHI color range and VVS1 - SI1 clarity which makes them very clear diamonds with very little inclusions. What sets us apart is our commitment to partnering only with trusted suppliers who strictly adhere to the Kimberley Process. The Kimberley Process was established in 2003 as an international trade regime aimed at curbing the trade of conflict diamonds. The cornerstone of this regime is the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme , which requires participating countries to implement measures that guarantee shipments of rough diamonds are free from conflicts. As a result of these efforts, an impressive 99.8% of global diamond trade is now actively monitored and prevented from involving conflict diamonds. By choosing responsibly sourced diamonds through our partnership with KP-compliant suppliers, you can be confident in both the ethical origins and high quality of your diamond purchase.

OUR PRECIOUS METALS: 10k, 14k and 18k

Pure gold is a valuable metal that does not undergo oxidation or discoloration. 10k,14k, 18k gold contain a higher proportion of alloyed metal, making it more resilient and resistant to everyday wear compared to 24k gold. Our white gold pieces, available in 10k, 14k, and 18k options, are coated with rhodium plating for enhanced shine and durability. Rhodium itself is rarer than platinum and carries a higher price tag. To minimize our environmental impact while still supporting local mining communities, the majority of our gold pieces - including those made from recycled materials - are created using recycled or responsibly mined gold. There is no difference in quality between recycled and newly-mined gold.

Gold vermeil and solid gold differ primarily in their base metals. Vermeil uses sterling silver as its base, while solid gold is solely made of gold.

At The Lirio we do not use Vermeil. Our clients are as precious as the gold we use, anything less for our esteemed clients is not good enough so we use highest quality precious metals in 10k, 14k and 18k gold.

ENAMEL

Enameling is a method in which a glossy substance is applied to the surface of metal. To enhance the resilience of our items, we employ cold enamel, also known as epoxy resin enamel, which does not contain glass.

PEARLS

We carefully select cultured pearls from oysters and freshwater mussels for our pieces. Pearls are delicate by nature; therefore, it is important to handle them with care, just like all your other jewelry items.
